Missed Moments to Meaningful Engagement: How Bento Engine & Zeplyn
Turn Conversations Into Client Growth

At The Founders Arena, our WealthTech Accelerator does more than support early- stage companies — we catalyze revenue-generating opportunities and build a powerful community where startups don’t just grow, they grow together. An example of this collaborative impact is the new partnership between two cohort companies, Bento Engine and Zeplyn.

Zeplyn harnesses artificial intelligence to transform unstructured client conversations into highly accurate structured meeting notes. It then uses that insight to power additional workflows throughout the advisor tech stack, including meeting prep, drafting follow-up client emails, creating and assigning tasks, and updating the CRM while also fulfilling compliance requirements. By automating administrative tasks and uncovering actionable trends in the data, Zeplyn helps advisors reclaim over 10+ hours per week, deliver more personalized, thorough service to clients, and better position their firms to optimize practice management.

Bento Engine empowers financial advisors by integrating actionable client insights with compliance pre-approved educational content, helping RIAs provide more value to their clients while enhancing engagement and retention. By leveraging data-driven prompts and timely client outreach, Bento Engine enables advisors to deliver proactive and personalized advice at scale.

From Documentation to Taking Action: Capitalizing on Life Events

What started as a theoretical connection became a real-world collaboration, thanks to the cross-cohort relationships sparked through our programming. While Bento Engine and Zeplyn had interacted before, it was through our initiative that Christina Viglietta, COO of Bento Engine, attended the Tiburon conference — where Era Jain, Co-Founder & CEO of Zeplyn, was speaking. That in-person connection led to their partnership, leading to an integration that brings Bento’s life event insights directly into the Zeplyn platform. The result? Advisors can now engage clients with perfectly timed, personalized messaging — transforming how they build relationships and drive results.

Bento Engine and Zeplyn are now working together to equip Zeplyn users with powerful new client insights centered on life events — enhancing advisors’ ability to connect at just the right moments. It’s a partnership that exemplifies the core mission of The Founders Arena: not just launching exceptional startups, but creating a thriving network where innovation accelerates through collaboration.

This case study highlights how Bento Engine and Zeplyn are working together and the impact of their integration. Their story highlights the possibilities that emerge through participation in our program - whether within the same cohort or across alumni. When our companies find value in each other, that’s a true win for innovation in WealthTech - and a testament to the power of the Founders Arena.

The Challenge:

Maximizing Client Engagement at the Right Moments

Life events—such as the birth of a new child, buying a home, or dealing with the death of a loved one—are pivotal moments that require proactive financial guidance. However, financial advisors often struggle to efficiently track, capture, and act on these milestones, leading to missed opportunities for deeper client relationships and improved financial outcomes.

As Era Jain explains, “More than 60% of client data gathering happens during meetings, and yet, less than 25% of meeting notes are logged into a CRM, which leaves a lot of room for life events to slip through the cracks. Being able to quickly identify those key moments is often the first step in helping clients navigate them.” Without structured tools to log and surface these insights, valuable client information gets lost in fragmented notes and ad-hoc conversations.

Adding to the challenge, the sheer volume of life events across an advisor’s client base can be overwhelming. Christina Viglietta notes, “The volume of events is a lot to track and act upon. For example, typical advisors using Bento Engine have 400 contacts, with life events happening every two years. That’s 200 events to track and communicate with clients in addition to other services they have to provide.”

Without a systematic approach to identifying, prioritizing, and engaging around these key life moments, advisors risk missing critical touchpoints, reducing client engagement, and ultimately, leaving valuable relationship-building opportunities untapped.

The Solution:

A Smarter, More Timely Approach to Client Engagement

Through connections rekindled at The Founders Arena, Bento Engine and Zeplyn have created a seamless integration that helps financial advisors act on life events with greater precision and efficiency.

Through this partnership, financial advisors can now automate their best advice at the time their client needs it most. By using Zeplyn, advisors are able to seamlessly capture real-time, structured meeting notes and action items during phone, virtual, or in-person client interactions. Allowing them to stay fully present and engaged with their client, Zeplyn documents their client’s key financial details, investment goals, personal preferences, life events, and more. From there, Bento Engine will serve the advisor compliant client engagement recs tailored to those moments. Bento Engine gives financial advisors multi-format content like email templates, talking points, client visuals, and FAQs. With this content, advisors are able to educate clients, deepen relationships, and deliver results in a timely manner and at scale.

Christina Viglietta, COO of Bento Engine, further explains, “Zeplyn acts as a meeting assistant, capturing key life events in meeting summaries. These insights then populate as Bento Engine alerts, allowing advisors to quickly personalize their outreach and provide relevant, multi-form content to their clients.”

“By streamlining how client details are gathered, documented and used to provide timely financial guidance, we’re giving advisors a new way to create high-impact engagement and unlock growth,” says Era Jain, CEO and Co-founder of Zeplyn.

This integration eliminates manual tracking and guesswork, helping advisors stay proactive rather than reactive in their client relationships.

The Benefit: Driving Growth and Efficiency for RIAs

“Advisors need more than just great meeting meeting notes—they need deeper analysis and action to be triggered from those insights”

- Era Jain

For financial advisors, tracking life events isn’t just about engagement—it’s about driving business growth. Staying ahead of key client milestones strengthens relationships and positions advisors as trusted guides during pivotal financial moments.

“Zeplyn Meeting Assistant, our flagship product, automatically captures key client life events from meeting discussions. With this integration, advisors can go one step further, cutting through the noise and prioritizing the next immediate interaction,” explains Era Jain, CEO and Co-founder of Zeplyn.

Beyond reducing workload, this solution directly impacts an advisor’s bottom line. “Engaging clients around life events strengthens retention and creates opportunities for deeper, more strategic conversations—helping advisors grow their book of business,” adds Christina Viglietta, COO of Bento Engine.

By combining Zeplyn’s AI-powered meeting intelligence, client intelligence, and practice intelligence with Bento Engine’s life-event intelligence, this partnership ensures that advisors can anticipate client needs, deliver tailored advice efficiently, and optimize their time for high-value interactions.

This collaboration is a win-win for advisors and clients alike, demonstrating the power of The Founders Arena’s ecosystem in fostering real-world innovation. By connecting high-potential startups across different cohorts, we create opportunities for solutions that enhance productivity, improve client engagement, and ultimately drive business success.
